>I am Mr. Ike Ekweremadu the deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chairman Senate Committee on Foreign Payment and Debt Reconciliation. I and the Honorable members of this committee just arrived in London United Kingdom since yesterday. In our first session of our meeting today your name, address and account number appeared as one of the foreign contractors that have not yet received his payment. I now want to bring to your immediate notice and urgent attention that this committee understands your plight, the huge amount of money you have spent and all the disappointments you have suffered in the past to get your over due payment sum paid to you.

The purpose of this special meeting was to (i) Rebuild Nigerian Economy (ii) Pay all Foreign Debts. In these regards, the Federal Government has finally approved a certain sum of money from the excess revenue derived from crude oil, which has also been approved by the Upper House of assembly recently to pay all foreign debts whose payment have been approved since long ago but never received. In order to show the World, Democratic and Transparent Government by this new Government, we here to make all the outstanding payments to people like you who have suffered so much on this process.
