Dear (author's name removed):
You have acknowledged that you are not welcome at our office. You have acknowledged that you do not have an appointment. You have acknowledged that you will not be allowed into the building. The building is locked. You have acknowledged that you will be escorted by an officer off of the premises. As you can see below, your message was automatically deleted because you addressed it to more than one address. Doing so after being warned is legally defined as harassment, and will be reported to your local law enforcement authorities. Sending repetitive emails is legally defined as harassment, and may be reported to your local law enforcement authorities. Also, in an effort to answer our authors' questions right away, and increase our level of customer satisfaction, we are taking steps to increase efficiency. We are no longer accepting questions sent to support@publishamerica.com. Instead, please visit http://publishamerica.com/support/ and see if your question is answered there. If not, then please fill out the form, and we will get back to you very quickly. Thank you for helping us to help you faster! So what happens when you use this contact form? Your emails to them are automatically deleted! As you can see from this letter to an author, PublishAmerica has directed it's authors to use their contact forms on their website. There are those who think that PA may soon shutter it's crooked doors and cite the closing of their support email address as evidence of that theory. I hate to rain on the parade of the detractors but tis not so, They have separate contact forms for royalty issues, support questions etc. Anything being sent through the contact forms are being deleted. Those of us who are website savvy, are able to find out where these contact submission forms are going! I urge you to send your questions directly to the following addresses so that YOU have a record of your submission. Do not let them delete your inquiry and tell you that nobody will ever know that you sent it. For royalty questions: send your inquiry to:
royalties@publishamerica.comContrary to what PublishAmerica has been saying and also contrary to various discussion on the Internet, PA has not shut down their support address at support@publishamerica.com. That is the address where the website contact forms are going if you chose "support." This should prove that the only reason for insisting you use the contact form is so that they can deny you ever sent a complaint. When you send a contact form submission, it is marked as such and so they just go down the line in their inbox and they can see who used the contact form and who emailed them directly. Those that emails support@padirectly are told that that address no longer is in use and they need to use the form. It's 100% pure bullshit. Acquisitions is still the same acquisitions@publishamerica.comTheir author questionairre contact form gets sent to jeannetteg@publishamerica.com
