Jamie Waylett Jailed

It's so sad to see these young actors doing things like this. Judge Simon Carr has sentenced Jamie Waylett, a cast member of the "Harry Potter" films to prison for his latest role in the rioting that took place across England last summer. Waylett will be serving two years. He played the role of Vincent Crabbe who was one of thugs in Draco Malfoy's gang. Talk about typecasting.

Prosecutors said Waylett was part of a small gang that took part in the riots in north London on Aug. 8, 2011.

A jury at London's Wood Green Crown Court found Waylett guilty Tuesday of violent disorder (disoderly conduct in the United States), but acquitted him of another charge of intending to destroy or damage property with a fire bomb he was holding.

The 22-year-old had already admitted handling a bottle of stolen Champagne from a supermarket during the riots.

Waylett has a previous conviction for growing cannibis in 2009.

Booze, rioting, theft, pot, bombs..oh my!
