spamcop is worthless

dear Bogus Barrister,

I went searching for a website where I can report spam emails and I found your website. I had been using spamcop.net to report them. This morning I submitted one spam email message to spamcop and it is important because the website linked in the email goes to a website that downloaded three computer viruses into my computer. All three viruses are variations of the Trojan Horse generic28.

Over how many spams??? It doesn't even give me a number. Sure, would have looked even more ridiculous putting a 1 in this notice.

Are there any reliable places to report my spam messages? I will never use spamcop ever again.

I got hit with the same thing this morning. I submitted exactly 2 spam reports yesterday and have been using Spamcop for years. I can only assume that Spamcop has a bug. I have replied to their email. We shall see. I do have to say that I am not a happy camper.

I think its possible that their website was hacked. I noticed that my page kept jumping to spamcop.net/sc

  3. Yes, every once in a while, an attack on or glitch in SpamCop causes such issues. As of this writing, you should no longer have the problem (but it could return).
