Jackeline Lopez of Palmdale California was arrested last month on suspicion of extortion. These charges are in connection with her coercing a 12-year-old girl into stealing $10,000 worth of family jewelry as payment to remove a curse. Lopez told the girl that horrible things would happen to her family if this "curse" was not lifted, for a fee of course.
Detectives asking for the public's help in identifying an additional suspect or victims. If you have information, please contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
