New Witness and photos emerge in the Trayvon Martin case

The plot thickens. A new witness has come forward in the Trayvon Martin case. His account contradicts what was previously believed about the incident that lead up to George Zimmerman shooting the 17 year old Martin in Sanford Florida. A case that has shocked and angered the nation.

Zimmerman has insisted that he shot the 17-year-old in self-defense, though Martin was found to be armed with only a bag of Skittles and an iced tea when he was killed. Despite the nation wide debates and protests, George Zimmerman has not been arrested or charged. This case has even caused Florida lawmakers to take a closer look at the controversial "stand your ground" laws.

The new witness only identified by the name "john" spoke to Fox affiliate WTVT-TV in Tampa Bay,although he refused to be shown on camera. John's account corroberates Zimmerman's claim that he shot Martin in self defense.

“The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: ‘help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911,” he said.

George Zimmerman was wearing the red sweater. Trayvon in the "hoodie."

Police have been saying that the screams we hear in the 911 recording is Zimmerman and not Martin.

“When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point,” John said.

Another new development shows us that the phograph of Trayvon Martin that has been used by all the news media since this story broke, is not a recent one. The older Martin was a 6'3" 180 pound football player.

Here he is in a recent photo uploaded on photobucket. You can see it here.

Don't get me wrong here. I am by no means saying that anybody should have died that night and certainly not over skin color but it is important that if the news media is going to report that they should be using recent photos of the people involved and both sides ofthis issue should be heard.

This video discussed President Obama exploiting the killing of Trayvon Martin for his own political gain.
